Are you a Shoe-Snob?
/Philly girl Kenyatta Whitfield is the bubbliest, boldest, and most audacious feline I have come across to date – and over the phone no less! Ms. Whitfield is the Merchandising Manager {and owner and operator} of up and coming shoe retail site, Shoe-Snobs. Launched from a place of passion and vigor, Shoe-Snobs is an online destination that gives emerging designers an opportunity to shine and includes a philanthropic twist - almost all brands featured on the site support worldly causes.
Well how did it begin? After going through a divorce and the loss of her job all at the same time, Ms. Whitfield took matters into her own hands after a quick jaunt into a shoe boutique where she purchased a pair of pink Rachel Roy pumps. Giving her just the push she needed, she began taking entrepreneurial classes and workshops at the Small Business Women's Development Center. Desiring to live life on her own terms, Shoe-Snobs was almost immediately launched.
Not even a year old, the site carries a few brands including, Taylor Says – a women owned and operated American designed shoe brand featuring customized artwork on the heels, OkaB - a 100% recyclable, machine washable shoe, and Roma – a rain boot company based in Dallas that donates a pair of shoes to children in need for every pair sold.
Over the next few years you can expect to see designer brands, a traveling shoe boutique, and the further evolution of Shoe-Snobs with a Conscious, which has already donated hundreds of female personal care items to homeless women in Philadelphia.
Here's a sneak peek of whats available for purchase on the site.
Enjoy lovas and support small business!
