Great on the Great - MJ Inspired on BIG Bday

Though I look like I am not having it {I was giving face hunty}, I was full of JOY yesterday as it was the first of many warm and sunny days to come. I didn't want to get too excited and freeze my ass off in the evening so I layered up, grabber my trusty motorcycle jacket, opened up my new Yves Saint Laurent clogs, threw on my red socks for a pop of color and was on my merry way.

What I didn't realize is that I was serving up some Mike J. for the gawds! It was fab if I dusse so myself. Welp kids be on the look out for more of my getups. I'm gonna try this 'personal style' blog thing out while I continue to bring you shoe-worthy news.

And lastly, we love the spring and summer. It's always great and unbeatable energy in NYC.

See below on how to get the look!

Rebel With A Cause: REVOLTing...

On Tuesday I had the pleasure of accompanying a very dear friend of mine to her DJ set of the REVOLT Live show at the Highland in Hollywood. It was a great experience and super fun. Of course I had to ensure I donned a relaxing yet chic look. I decided to go for unbothered-rockstar which meant, wild hair, red lipstick, ripped denim of some sort and boots.

The Look: Jacket: GAP; Tank Top: GAP; Pants: GAP - honestly the GAP should cut me a check! Shoes: Chloe heeled motocycle boots

Location: REVOLT Studios Hollywood and Highland

Shoe close up....

I love nothing more that a twist on a classic style boot. This round toe and stacked heel = ultimate comfort.

Want the boots? Shoebox has a pair in size 8.5 only or you can search 'Chloe Boots' on ShopStyle (my favorite for locating what I NEED).

Ciao lovas.

P.S. These boots are also avail in the classic moto boot style - I may need to have those too!

Here's a peek at DJ C. DeVone on set

And finally, OSCAR week arrived and all my ladies from ESSENCE magazine were in town for the illustrious Black Women in Hollywood event. On my way out to meet up with the homie, I needed to make some adjustments to my attire. I purchased these lovely sandals at a sample sale and the zipper on the left foot had the nerve to get stuck. Welp, I got some scissors and went to town on them heauxs creating a 'new' sandal.
