London Calling...& Milan Too

Let me tell you honey, they went OFF across the pond. I mean hot diggity damn! I am still gagging over the lusciousness that stomped, slayed, and sashayed down the runway. The mood for Fall was consistent to what we saw on the New York shows - rich, opulent, and fierce.

Between Fausto Puglisi's thigh-high buckle ridden sandals to practically everything that went down for Gucci I've been speechless for days - hence the delay in this post.

N21 stayed true to form with tons of texture and bow like details. Designers Fay and Whistles showcased that form and function will forever remain chic and Vivienne Westwood served with a pop of rich patent leather red boots. Duro Olowu gave us lots of print on print and oh, zebra print is back.

Enjoy the recap and check back this weekend for Fendi, Prada, and Moschino.

Fall Finale

Hey kids, welp NYFW has come to a grand close. With Marc Jacobs closing up and showing out, the shows were certainly ones to remember. In the final days of shoemania, designers remained true to the form, function and opulence we reported on earlier this week.

Grab your cup of joe, a blanket, and your laptop and get into the rest of what designers had to say this week.

We're closing out with Coach, Cushnie et Ochs, Derek Lam, Delpozo (which is freaking phenomenal every season; there is a dress in the gallery that was too damn good to leave out), Hood by Air, Tommy Hilfiger, Kate Space, Christian Siriano, Tibi, Proenza Schouler and Marc Jacobs (who btw I have no idea how anyone is going to walk in those platforms, but they were so good!).

Check back next week for whats going on across the pond.

Ciao bellas.

These Boots Were Made For Walkin...

Hey lovas, Happy Monday! Hope you all had a marvelous weekend. I've been vying for Fall to hit the scene as I'm over the summer weather that never was! As temps steadily drop, sans the humidity from yesterday, my wishes are being granted and with that comes boot season. Short, tall, medium, slender, chunky, chained, buckles and straps, boot season is upon us and that means shopping time (well its always time to shop I mean who am I kidding)!

Here's a few boots, booties and the like on my 'these boots were made for walkin' wish list....

FTBUP Wish List: Bags on Bags on Bags

I've said it before and I'll say it again, mama loves and mama needs at all times, a great bag! This season and beyond, there are a few major bag moments happening and I want them all. A great bag, like a great pair of shoes can be life altering - no seriously, it can change the way you view your entire look.

This season in bags is all about fun, effortless chic and structure. I've categorized my wish list by style. Have a look-see and get inspired.

P.S. This list isn't even close to what I really want, but we would be here til yesteryear waiting for it to be a final list.

CLASSICS

Biggest Trend For Fall....Chic Sneaks

Sneakers, Kicks, Gym Shoes, Tennis Shoes et al will be the shoe du jour on every fashionistas wishlist this fall. Over the past year we've seen the insurgence of the wedge sneaker, Isabel Marant, Nike and Adidas anyone? But this season, we kick into high gear with designers adding stylish sneakers, whether they be slip-ons or high-tops, to their already fierce fashion collections.

Being a sneakerhead myself - I was the girl with a new pair of Jordans on every week - I've always incorporated kicks into my wardrobe. I'm a true tomboy at heart so this paradigm shift is much appreciated.

The fun thing is, you can pair your chic sneaks with skirts, dresses, stovepipe pants or however you like, just don't be left in the dust! With that said, check out my top picks for the season. I promise you'll be ready to hit the pavement as if your name was Jackie Joyner Kersee!

Maison Martin Margiela Mirror Sneakers - make a lasting impression and step out in style!

Gotta love Miu Miu. These slip-ons are top on my list. They come in a myriad of styles ranging from studds to printed patent leather.

Giuseppe Zanotti Design. Sheer perfection. The gold buckles, the side clasp, the zippers it doesn't get any better than this when it comes to detail. I'd rock these with leather pants and a white tshirt.

Nike High-tops. Classic, simple and chic - check. The clean lines and solid color make these safe to play around with. I'd be daring and rock 'em to a black-tie affair and let these babies peak out from underneath a fabulous ballgown.

Balenciaga Alligator print sneakers are great for work and play. Pair with a pencil skirt and crop top or Canadian Tuxedo to stand out.

Riccardo Tisci Nike. Not new for fall and on every fashionista list and probably already in their closets are these. All I can say is, I need 'em, I want 'em, I gotta have 'em!

Happy shoepping gyals and as always click the images to purchase!
