Hey lovas...if you follow me on Snapchat {so if you don't thats your cue to do it FTBUP}, you would've caught a glimpse of my outing last week at the launch event for Thesis Couture, a new fashion-technology company hell bent {in the best way possible} on reinventing the stiletto. In its simplest form, the CEO Dolly Singh stated at the event that her and her companies purpose is to "make a stiletto that feels like a wedge."

How is this going to be achieved? Well you can check that out on their site Thesis Couture for more details and specifics, but just know the dynamic team is comprised of Rocket Scientists and an Astronaut - beyond cool!

At on-set, only 1,500 pair will be available for purchase. There's already over 10K+ inquiries about this heel honey. I tried on the prototype and must say it was beyond cushion-y. There was most certainly of a level of comfort I immediately experienced and the prototype was a size SMALLER than what I normally wear. Dolly and her team have a great product on their hands and I'm excited to see it take off {pun intended}.

Here's a few images from last week. Enjoy and stay tuned in for more!

Fall Finale

Hey kids, welp NYFW has come to a grand close. With Marc Jacobs closing up and showing out, the shows were certainly ones to remember. In the final days of shoemania, designers remained true to the form, function and opulence we reported on earlier this week.

Grab your cup of joe, a blanket, and your laptop and get into the rest of what designers had to say this week.

We're closing out with Coach, Cushnie et Ochs, Derek Lam, Delpozo (which is freaking phenomenal every season; there is a dress in the gallery that was too damn good to leave out), Hood by Air, Tommy Hilfiger, Kate Space, Christian Siriano, Tibi, Proenza Schouler and Marc Jacobs (who btw I have no idea how anyone is going to walk in those platforms, but they were so good!).

Check back next week for whats going on across the pond.

Ciao bellas.

Op-Ed: The Heel Never Left

IMAGE: Ways of Wonders

IMAGE: Ways of Wonders

So yesterday I read a piece on Vogue.com about the resurgence of the heel for Fall 2016, and it made me beg the question - well did the heel ever leave? With the rise in acceptance of 'sneakers as fashion statement', which for most of us wasn't a new phenomenon even as its popularity climbed the fashion charts, I can see where this sentiment stemmed from.

But ladies and gents, lets be real, heels serve confidence, class and in some instances, sex, depending on your agenda. Every collection since the dawn of man in fashion has included heels to some degree.

Flats, Skater Sneakers, Nikes, Adidas, and Pumas have popped up off and on the runways for the past 2 years, but the heel, the heel has remained the epicenter of style. And every true fashionista knows it.

Check out some of my fav heels from past and present for proof and name that shoe!

P.S. A flat slipped in because they're just great!

P.P.S. It slipped in because I do love a good flat though, really and truly.

Snowmaggedon 2016 really had people tripping this past weekend! And I will admit, I yearned for Summer for about 20 minutes, but that's only because I was traversing the web doing what I do best, looking for shoes! In my quest, I stumbled upon Vic Matie. I've known about this italian brand for a bit now {they've been on the scene since 1987}, however, they fell off of my radar until now!

These sandals are, as my mother would say, 'rough and ready.' They remind me of Marni sandals from seasons past and they are on my summer shoe hit list. Check out the site and see what you can find. Vic Matie.

Shoe Damage: $480

P.S. They are currently running a 40% promotion - get in there ladies!

In today's shoe news, the Shoe of the Day goes to the Marcy Boot available at Schutz Shoes. It's winter weather perfect and I'm sure will keep those legs warm for the day we decide its time to get cute, even though its -30 degrees out - ha!

I would most certainly rock these with some spectacular tights, because honey, 'cute and cold' don't mix.

Shoe Damage: $485. Buy here or at Schutz Shoes Madison Avenue location in New York City.
